RESET MH is a registered UK charity (no: 1194051) providing free culturally appropriate mental health services to adults aged 18+ of African-Caribbean heritage. All of our services are delivered by qualified and registered Black professionals.

We are led by members of these communities who have lived experiences and our tailored sessions are co-designed alongside them to reduce the stigma and raise awareness in theĀ  communities that we serve. We have created a tailored service that is created for and by members of the black community.

What we do

RESET MH aims to improve the mental wellbeing of individuals in the Black community through the delivery of free services. These services include: peer support services, mental health first aid training, individual and group therapy sessions.

Our services are completely free to ensure accessibility for everyone. With the aim of putting people at the very heart of the work we do, we put the power back in the hands of those people, improving their access to support and providing a platform for them to learn, grow and heal.

Our goal is to show that recovery is achievable and that sufferers of mental illness can live fulfilling lives and to ensure that no one goes without the correct support.

Our Vision

RESET MH’s vision is to remove the barriers and discrimination faced in the black community when accessing mental health services. We aim to achieve this through the delivery of cultural appropriate services to help improve the health outcomes and quality of care in the black community.

We also aim to restore the faith in the black communities when dealing with mental health service – improving the relationship between the communities, mental health services and the individuals who access it.

Alongside this we aim to help eliminate the racial and ethnic health disparities faced in the black community. Alongside this we also aim to remove further barriers of waiting times and costs.
